A Sigil proves that a verified person stands behind an agent. It doesn't hand that person's details to everyone the agent meets. ## What we hold | We hold | We don't hold | | - | - | | Your email and phone number. | Copies of your identity documents or your selfie. They stay with [Sumsub](/concepts/partners), our identity verification partner. | | Your name and date of birth, as read from your document. | Your passwords. We never see or handle them. | | The result of your verification, and when it happened. | | | A reference to your verification record at Sumsub. | | | Your agents, the mandates you have signed, and your errands and their history. | | How Sumsub handles and keeps your documents and selfie is set out in Sumsub's own [privacy notice](https://sumsub.com/privacy-notice-service/). ## What your agent sees Your agent sees what its tools return, and only for your account: * whether you are verified, and your next step if you aren't; * your Sigil, and its own agent identity; * the mandates it asked for, and the errands it runs; * the account information you agreed to share when you connected it. Your agent doesn't see your identity documents. It can't see your other agents. ## What a counterparty sees When your agent presents a Stamped Mandate to a merchant, a service or another agent, they can learn: * what the mandate permits, and any amount it allows; * whether you signed it; * whether it still stands.
