Visa card issuance is the regulated rail that turns Sumvin’s internal Card Management API into a real Visa-branded debit card. The flow — provisioning, PAN delivery, activation — runs on Visa Intelligent Commerce, with Sigil (a user’s verified Sumvin identity) carried onto the card. Sumvin is a launch partner on Visa Intelligent Commerce. Issuance is delivered through our primary card issuer.

What it covers

Provisioning, PAN delivery, activation, and the lifecycle states that follow. The internal Card Management API is already documented and drives the Sumvin side of the flow; the Visa issuance rail is what makes the card real on the network side.

Who it’s for

Consumer app builders whose users need a card funded from their on-chain wallet. The crypto wallet card reference application is the primary consumer.
End-to-end Visa card issuance is in private preview — the Card Management API and funding wallets are live today, and network-side provisioning runs through the Visa issuance partner rail. Partners who scope their integration now help shape the issuance flow and secure first-cohort slots when cards ship — contact your account manager to get started.

Where to start

The Visa issuance rail is the network side; Sumvin’s card issuing overview is the composition you’re wiring it into. The Card Management API is already in place for the lifecycle operations, and funding wallets cover how each card draws from an on-chain balance. The crypto wallet card is the reference application — the shape the Visa issuance rail turns real on the network.
