Sumvin is a connector your agent talks to. Every client uses the same address:

This is the recommended way to use Sumvin. Building or experimenting from a terminal? Developers can use the CLI instead. Pick your client. Each tab has three parts: add the connector, sign in, check it worked. When you sign in, sign in or create a Sumvin account. You can connect before you have an account; your agent helps you finish creating one.

Works on claude.ai and in Claude Desktop. Add it once on claude.ai.

Add the connector

Go to Customize > Connectors, select Add custom connector, and enter:

Name it Sumvin and select Add. Leave the other settings as they are.

Select Connect and sign in or create a Sumvin account in the window that opens.

Check it worked

Sumvin shows as connected under Customize > Connectors. In a chat, open the + menu, then Connectors, and make sure Sumvin is on.

On a Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner adds the connector under Organization settings > Connectors (Add, then Custom, then Web). Each member then finds it under Customize > Connectors and selects Connect.

Needs developer mode, on ChatGPT on the web. Custom apps aren’t available in the ChatGPT mobile app.

Custom connectors may be limited on Plus and Pro. Full use needs a Business, Enterprise or Edu plan with developer mode turned on.

Turn on developer mode

Go to Settings > Apps > Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode. On a workspace plan, an admin may need to allow it first; see below.

Add the connector

In Settings > Apps, select Create and enter:

Name it Sumvin and choose OAuth for authentication. Select Scan Tools, then Create.

Check it worked

Sumvin appears under Settings > Apps, labelled Dev. In a new chat, select Sumvin from the tools menu.

ChatGPT may ask you to confirm a Sumvin tool call before it runs.

On a ChatGPT Business, Enterprise or Edu workspace, admins control custom apps:

An admin allows developer mode under Workspace settings > Permissions & roles > Connected Data. On Business, only admins and owners can use developer mode.
An admin can also add Sumvin from Workspace settings > Apps > Create, then publish it from Workspace settings > Apps > Drafts.
Once it’s published, members find Sumvin under Settings > Apps, marked custom, and each member signs in with their own Sumvin account.

On Business, a published app can’t be updated. If Sumvin adds tools, an admin recreates and republishes the app.

ChatGPT Work is the mode in ChatGPT for longer tasks. In the ChatGPT desktop app, on any plan, you add Sumvin as an MCP server.

Add the connector

In the ChatGPT desktop app, open Settings, then MCP servers, and select Add server. Name it sumvin, choose Streamable HTTP, and enter:

Save the server, then select Restart.

In the server list, select Authenticate next to Sumvin. Sign in or create a Sumvin account in your browser.

Check it worked

In the composer, type /mcp. Sumvin is listed.

For now, Sumvin works in ChatGPT Work in the ChatGPT desktop app. Keep Work locally selected in the composer.

Add the connector

--scope user makes Sumvin available in every project. Your Sumvin identity belongs to you, not to one repository.

Check it worked

/mcp lists sumvin as connected.

If you added Sumvin on claude.ai and sign in to Claude Code with the same Claude account, it may already be there.

Add the connector

Follow the link it prints, and sign in or create a Sumvin account. If your browser can’t reach the machine running OpenClaw, use the --code command it prints instead.

Check it worked

The probe connects and lists Sumvin’s tools.

By default, OpenClaw uses one shared sign-in for each server. Anyone who can talk to your OpenClaw acts on Sumvin as you. If other people use your OpenClaw, set up per-requester sign-in first; see OpenClaw’s Transports and OAuth.

What they still can’t do: approve. Anything that needs your authority still needs a Stamped Mandate that you approve yourself, with your passkey, on a Sumvin page in your own browser. Someone messaging your OpenClaw can ask for a mandate, but they can’t approve one without your passkey. That is a real step up for OpenClaw: it can act for you, while the authority stays with you.

Add the connector

Hermes opens your browser the first time it connects. Sign in or create a Sumvin account. To sign in again later, run hermes mcp login sumvin.

Check it worked

hermes mcp test sumvin

Then start a new hermes chat, or run /reload-mcp in one that’s already open, so Sumvin’s tools load.

Troubleshooting

The connector won't connect

Check the address is exactly https://mcp.sumvin.com/mcp, including /mcp at the end. Remove the connector and add it again. Restart your client.

I don't see Sumvin's tools

Make sure Sumvin is switched on for this conversation: the Connectors item in Claude’s + menu, or Sumvin in ChatGPT’s tools menu. In Hermes Agent, run /reload-mcp. If you don’t have a Sumvin account yet, your agent sees one tool, which gives you a sign-up link. See Your first conversation.

How do I disconnect?

Claude: Customize > Connectors, then Remove on Sumvin.
Claude Code: claude mcp remove sumvin. This also deletes the sign-in Claude Code stored.
ChatGPT: manage the app under Settings > Apps.
ChatGPT Work (desktop app): manage Sumvin under Settings > MCP servers.
OpenClaw: openclaw mcp logout sumvin, then openclaw mcp unset sumvin.
Hermes Agent: hermes mcp remove sumvin.

Disconnecting a client stops it reaching Sumvin. To withdraw what an agent was allowed to do, see Revoke access.

Try asking your agent: “What can you do with Sumvin?”
