A Sigil is your verified identity. Your agents carry it as proof that a real, verified person stands behind them. An agent on its own can’t prove who it acts for. A Sigil answers that question once, for every agent you connect.

What it guarantees

  • A person verified once. You get a Sigil after you verify your identity. You don’t verify again for each agent.
  • Agents you can tell apart. Every agent you connect has its own agent identity under your Sigil. Each one proves it belongs to you, and each one stays distinguishable from the others.
  • Yours. A Sigil belongs to one person. An agent can present it; it can’t create one, transfer one, or verify on your behalf.

What you do with it

You don’t use a Sigil directly. It is what the rest of Sumvin stands on:
  1. You verify your identity, and your Sigil is issued.
  2. You connect agents. Each gets an agent identity linked to your Sigil.
  3. You sign Stamped Mandates that say what your agents may do.
  4. Your agents run errands within those mandates.
A new account can be fully verified and not have a Sigil yet. Issuance is rolling out, and your agent will tell you where it has got to.
