Check a mandate an agent shows you

If an agent presents you with a Stamped Mandate — as proof it’s allowed to act on someone’s behalf — check it before you rely on it. Holding an identifier or a token proves nothing on its own; a mandate can be withdrawn at any moment after it was granted.

Pass the mandate identifier you were given to mandate_verify. It tells you:

Whether the identifier is recognised at all.
Whether it still stands right now — this is the one to read, not just its status label. A mandate can still show as active while the broader authority it depended on has since been withdrawn; stands accounts for that, a status label alone does not.
What it permits, and its ceiling.
Whether it was signed by the account holder themselves.
When it expires.

Checking a mandate this way changes nothing and grants nothing — it only answers whether the one you were shown is good.

sumvin pint verify <token>

Verifies the token you were given — its signature, its claims, and whether it’s still valid — and tells you plainly whether it checks out.

Neither check tells you anything about who granted the mandate beyond what it authorises — no name, no contact details. It answers exactly one question: is this good to act on.
